Welcome to Roysten's Fishbowl

Grunty Industries remix

Fishpaste has whipped up another guitar remix, and you can listen to it by clicking here. Thanks, Mr. Paste.

Banjo Kazooie: Nuts And Bolts Boxart Revealed?

Looks pretty sweet, if you ask me ;)
There's some debate on if it's real or not, due to the lack of the Rare Logo and the fact it just says "Live" and not "XBox Live"
Discuss It Here!

We have a winner!

Congratulations to...

...Toadfan5!

You are the winner of our Diddy Kong Racing DS competition! Just PM me your postal address and I'll get the prize right to you.
I have another competition in the pipeline, so if you didn't win, better luck next time!

It's your last chance...

...to enter our competition to win a signed copy of Diddy Kong Racing DS. All you have to do is reply to this topic before 8 o'clock pm (UK daylight savings time) tonight. You can convert this to your local time here (select "UK England- London" in the box). Get those last minute entries in!

And I'm sorry about my absense online over the past few days. I've been busy with something unrelated to RF which unfortunatly took priority. It seems I missed a whole load of news to do with Viva Pinata: Pocket Paradise; you can find most of it over at Mundorare. I'm really sorry, Pinataheads.

Nutty Acres theme recreation

BK-Pianist has recreated the theme for Nutty Acres from BK3, by peicing together snippets we've heard from trailers and such. It'll be interesting to see how close his rendition is to the actual thing when BK3 releases later this year.
You can see the original thread at RWP here.

Download Day

Internet Explorer users, please read...

I was testing something out for cross-browser compatibility when I decided to see what Roysten's looked like in Internet Explorer. Well, as it turns out, users of Internet Explorer have to scroll down to see the navigation, due to the browser's lack of competance when it comes to CSS.

So that explains why it's been so quiet 'round these parts lately.
Anyway, I strongly advise any users of IE to upgrade to a standards complient browser, like Firefox or Safari, while I get things fixed up. Firefox 3 beta is out now, so why not give that a spin? From what I've heard, it's really awesome- although I haven't had a chance to upgrade, since it doesn't agree with Windows 98.
Anyway, thanks for bearing with me, folks. I'll try and get the site working for everyone as soon as possible.

The truth about Stop 'n' Swop

http://multiplayerblog.mtv.com/2008/05/23/stop-n-swop-thing/

It's a reasonable answer, althoguh it's a shame Nintendo felt the need to revise the N64's innards.

Pocket Paradise on Rare's site

The game page for Viva Pinata: Pocket Paradise is now up, over at Rare's official site. There's a load of stuff for you to get your teeth into, including an interview with game staff members and an updated Pinatapedia.

Now for some bad news- in an unfortunate incident involving my computer deleting everything in my documents, some stuff I was working on- most notably, my Perfect Dark mission guide- has gone. So too have any records of the site's previous incarnations, including our old layouts and update archives. No great loss, I guess- at least everything online at the moment is okay.
Remember to enter the competiton to win a signed copy of Diddy Kong Racing DS over at the forums.

New pantsboard

The one and only Pantsboard, hosted by Rare's slightly-too-friendly survey man, has been updated. Go and take a look, why not?

Site changes and additions

In an attempt to make the site a little less white, I've cobbled together another logo which you can see above. I love the new Bottles design, so I just had to have him at the top of the site. However, the menu at the top of the page got the boot since it got in the way of Bottles' face, which looked quite stupid.

Secondly, I've started an ideas topic over on the forums- got any ideas or suggestions? If so, post them here or email me and we'll try our best to implement your ideas into the site.

Finally, we've got an open staff position- we're looking for a writer who can write reviews, guides and update the news occasionally. Check out the Staff page for more information.
